I read both books one after the other because I really wanted to get a better feel for this story.

Taking place 4 years after the previous book, Danika has to return to Florida for her dads wedding. She has a big secret that select people know of and isn’t planning on telling anyone ever. She’s hoping to just get it over with, but when an unexpected bomb drops she has no choice but to deal with the consequences, including her ex Logan.

Logan thought Dani was it for thin. After a whirlwind romance in high school Dani suddenly leaves him and Florida not returning for another 4 years. Pretty much Logan assumed something happened and that Dani needed to deal with it in her own way. When she never came back he leaned towards random one night stands and drinking. Now she’s back and he’s not letting her go without a fight.

So this book had a few things going on. Dani’s and Logan’s relationship woes from the last book are obviously at the fore front as far as plot lines go (with a few good and unexpected twists here & there). Miscommunication is the key problem for these two but if it wasn’t for it we wouldn’t have gotten 2 juicy books from this serious.

Overall the book is filled with chemistry, surprises, and happy and sad moments. The writing it strong and though the story felt a little overwhelming with different things going on it was very good. I loved how strong the bond between Dani and Logan went and even with time apart they still fight tooth and nail for each other.

(One last bit wtf Sarah??? Some friend, I definitely wasn’t expecting that🤦🏼‍♀️)

Very enjoyable read, I’m looking forward to reading more of Bailey’s books int be future!
