In For A Treat by Sophie-Leigh Robbins

(Old Pine Cove Series #3)

Release: March 9, 2020

Available on Kindle Unlimited

synopsis 2.0 One down-on-her-luck dog walker. One irresistible vet with the perfect job offer. Too bad dating a coworker is so not done.

Olive’s small-town life is crumbling as fast as an expired dog treat. Her side business is facing some fierce competition from a stuck-up dog walker and her part-time job as a barista hardly pays enough to cover the rent. Moving back home is out of the question, since her parents have turned her old bedroom into an exclusive hamster hotel.

For veterinarian Lewis, moving to Old Pine Cove with his dog Archie is the fresh start he’s been craving. He’s convinced breathing new life into the animal clinic will help him forget the big mess he left behind in Britain.

But then an accident lands Olive a job at his clinic, and before long, they’re stealing dreamy glances at each other over the treatment table.

Too bad true-to-his-word Lewis has sworn never to date an employee again…

In For a Treat is a sweet romantic comedy and part of the Old Pine Cove series. All books in this series share the same setting, but each book features a different couple.

In For a Treat is the 3rd installment of the Old Pine Cover Series.

It’s sweet, quirky and has a ton of comedy. Olive and Lewis had an instant connection, one that flowed and felt right. I could feel their chemistry coming off of my kindle.

Lewis is a new vet in our quaint small town, not one used to the gossip or how fast world travels he’s knocked a little off his feet by all the woman in town who would just loveeee to “show him around”.

But when he comes across Olive a barista at A coffee spot he’s blown away by how kind, friendly and not obviously falling at his feet. She’s a spirited change for him and he can’t wait to get to know her more.

Luckily for Lewis and his Akita Archie, Olive also happens to be the towns resident dog walker and tarot reader so bumping into her again is easy.

Their instant chemistry has then each wanting more but both Olive and Lewis have been burned before. I loved that Olive was so easy going and relaxed as a character. She was funny and light hearted, her and Lewis’s easy relationship made reading this book so much fun.

Olives story was definitely my favorite of the series. Go give yourself some “me” time and pick this one up If you haven’t yet!!
