Date in Disguise has a fresh and original storyline for a novella filled with steam and deception.

It follows Faye who’s is very shy and insecure. She followed her 2 brothers from their hometown for the family business mostly because they’re all she has left. I can get behind the family needs but It’s a shame her two brothers were tool bags. The family business is failing to a major competitor and they manage to convince Faye that she needs to get close to Gavin (their competitors owner) to get information to gain the upper hand. It’s definitely a sleezy move on their part, but it works out for Faye.

Turns out Gavin is a charming sweetheart and sees the allure of Faye immediately. This starts their world wind romance all while Faye is faking her love story, but she’s in no way faking her feelings. Will she stand up to her brothers to be with the man she’s falling for or will she fall under her family’s pressures again?

I really enjoyed Date in Disguise, it had a great storyline that I would have loved to read as a full length novel. Overall though it was great as a novella too. This is my second novella by Laura and I’m looking forward to more (especially Chole’s story)!!
