Sparrow was a hard but enjoyable read for me. I’m giving it 4 stars mostly because of Sparrow.
She was fierce, determined, passionate & kind. She was even a little gritty which I liked. It made her a very strong heroine.
“Troy Brennan was the devil, but sometimes, even good girls wanted a healthy dose of evil in their lives.“
Troy, however, I didn’t like him. He is probably my least fave L.J. man. I don’t know if it was his superior ego or his indiscretions, but I honestly didn’t like him until the last few chapters. Even after that something about him just didn’t sit right with me.
“He gave me lies, and I ate them from the palm of his hand. He gave me lies, and for him, I closed my eyes.”
I liked sparrow overall, however, I can look past Troy & still enjoy the storyline. It was very captivating, especially with Sparrow and her strength to be on her own and thrive rather than simply survive.
