review

Not So Nice Guy is the newest release of my favorite rom com queen, R.S Grey. She did not disappoint!! Next to the Allure of Dean Harper & Arrogant Devil, Not so nice guy is my top 3 favorite books by her!

Sam and Ian have been best friends for the last 3 years. After meeting at a teachers

orientation they have been inseparable since. They both teach at the same school, have Wednesday tv rituals, and are there for every moment in between. What comes with opposite sex friendship though is dating rumors. Everyone assumes Ian & Sam are an item, until Sam accidentally tells the Freshman Four (a mean girls style of new teachers) that she and Ian are simply best friends and were never dating.

This throws both of them for a loop when Valentine’s Day rolls around and Ian and Sam are receiving non stop notes from from other teachers in the hopes of dating. Both are jealous of the others admirers but it’s Ian who finally makes the first move. They both want to keep their friendship intact, but Ian can no longer sit by and watch as other men take interest in Sam. Sam won’t ruin their friendship over her feelings, but that all might change when Ian suddenly becomes mr not so nice guy.

This book was so cute and absolutely hilarious. Sam is insanely witty, and talkative, her inner monologues kept me constantly laughing. Ian was swoon worthy and nice when he needed to be and not do nice when needed ;). Their relationship was perfect and with a little spin thrown in there, their friends to lovers relationship was written wonderfully. It was a major slow burn & super angsty!! If you love friends to lovers, rom coms and everything in between you need this book in your life ASAP!!

About NOT SO NICE GUY

“Oh my god. Who is that?”

I get asked this question a lot.

“Oh him?” I reply. “That’s just Ian.”

Just Ian is the biggest understatement of the century. Just the Mona Lisa. Just the Taj Mahal. Just Ian, with his boring ol’ washboard abs and dime-a-dozen dimpled smile.

Just Ian is…just my best friend.

We’re extremely close, stuck so deep inside a Jim-and-Pam-style friendzone everyone at work assumes we’re a couple—that is until one day, word spreads through the teacher’s lounge that he’s single. Fair game. Suddenly, it’s open season on Ian.

He should be reveling in all the newfound attention, but to our mutual surprise, the only attention he seems to want is mine.

He’s turning our formerly innocent nightly chats into X-rated phone calls. Our playful banter sports a new, dangerous edge.

I want to assume he’s playing a prank on me, just pushing my buttons like always—but when Ian lifts me onto the desk in my classroom and slides his hands up my skirt, he doesn’t leave a lot of room for confusion.

I’m a little scared of things going south, of losing my best friend because I can’t keep my hands to myself. So, I’m just going to back away and not return this earth-shattering kiss—oh who am I kidding?!

Goodbye Ian, ol’ buddy, ol’ pal!

Helloooo mister not so nice guy.
