I have finally joined the douchebag groupies. Yup that’s right, I said it.. I want more Douchebags! I have been trying to read the damn series for FOREVER NOW. And finally I HAVE *insert happy dance here*

I was expecting the usual jock meets nerd, cliché as soon as I read that Oz and James meet in a library and that he’s a wrestler, and that was not it at all. Oz is a hot, popular wrestler for sure. He’s known around campus and gets all the girls he wants. He doesn’t have to ask, or beg for girls to fall at his feet. They just do. And that is the epitome of a douche. But Oz isn’t just all meat head. He’s actually extremely smart, and as Iowa as a scholarship student. He works his fine ass off in everything he does. Including his budding relationship with James.

“Sweetheart, Oz is a nickname. Haven’t you googled me yet?”
Amused blue eyes roll. “I’m sure you google yourself enough for the both of us.”

Shit, she’s right. I do google myself a lot.”

James is not getting good grades. She studies like crazy in library while wearing her famous pearls to keep people from disturbing her. Until Oz gets betted $500 by Zeke that he can’t get James to kiss him. James isn’t a prude, but she’s not easy either. She agrees to help Oz out on the condition that he pays her half of what he makes out of the bet. Oz is stunned. Not only does he basically have to beg James to kiss him, but he’s gotta pay her too. Neither of them though expect the kiss to be as electrifying and intoxicating as it is.

“Is sex all you ever think about? You’re relentless.”
“No, it’s not all I ever think about, but I swear, something about those goddamn sweaters of yours make me stupid.”

Neither of them can stop thinking about the other, and each time they see each other they have a magnetic pull they can’t deny. They slowly become friends, and after an uninvited guest (Oz) goes on her ski trip, James grows fonder and closer to Oz. She doesn’t deny that shed love to sleep with him, but only if he offers more. Oz is committed to being “non-committal”. But will possibly losing James to someone else make him change his douchebag ways?

“I wonder if life is going outside to have a smoke right now, because it just got done fucking me. Fucking me hard. Logically,”

The Studying hours was funny, and really entertaining. Oz is pervey but kind, while James is sarcastic and adorable. They’re perfect together. I was prepared for a climactic ending with past sexual drama heating up between them but surprisingly there was none of that. AND I WAS SO HAPPY! I hate when past flings always gets the heroine’s panty in a twist over some rumor. There was none of that in this book (thank youuuuu Sara Ney!). I’m really looking forward to the rudeness that is Zeke Daniels, let’s go douche number 2!

Rating:

4.8 starfish

Blurb:

CRUDE. ARROGANT. A**HOLE.
No doubt about it, Sebastian ‘Oz’ Osborne is the university’s most celebrated student athlete—and possibly the biggest douchebag. A walking, talking cliché, he has a filthy mouth, a fantastic body, and doesn’t give a sh*t about what you or anyone else thinks.

SMART. CLASSY. CONSERVATIVE.
Make no mistake, Jameson Clarke may be the university’s most diligent student—but she is no prude. Spending most of her time in the hallowed halls of the library, James is wary of pervs, jocks, and douchebags—and Oz Osborne is all three.

She’s smart, sarcastic—and not what he expected.

…EVERY DOUCHBAG HAS HIS WEAKNESS.

He wants to be friends.
He wants to spend time with her.
He wants to drive her crazy.

He wants…

Her.
